Two Ways to Chat

Slic offers two distinct conversation layers for every website:

Page Tab

Chat specifically about the exact URL you are visiting. Perfect for commenting on specific articles or videos.

Domain Tab

Chat with everyone on the entire website. For example, chat with all users currently on youtube.com, regardless of the video.

Your Identity

Slic is designed for privacy and ease of use.

• No Login: You don't need to create an account.
• Stable ID: We generate a unique, anonymous tag for you (e.g., XY#1234) based on your Chrome profile.
• Persistence: This ID stays with you even if you reload the page or restart your browser, allowing you to build a reputation.

Safety & Privacy

We believe in a clean and safe web.

• No Tracking: We do not track your browsing history. We only check the current URL to load relevant comments.
• Sanitization: Code injection (HTML/JS/CSS) is strictly blocked to prevent XSS attacks.

Troubleshooting

"Why can't I post?"
Ensure your comment is under 1000 characters and contains no HTML code. Also, check your internet connection.

"How do I close it?"
Click the "X" to minimize to a bubble. Right-click the bubble and select "Close Completely" to remove it until reload.
